Who is the course for?

This 6-week course is perfect for complete beginners who would like an introduction to Yoga, building confidence to attend regular classes or start a home practice.  Each week we will explore and add to sequences which you will be able to practice at home.

What will the course involve?

The course is offered in the Hatha Yoga tradition, over 6-weekly one and a half hour sessions.  Throughout the six weeks we will incorporate different aspects of this including:

  • Asana: the physical postures of Yoga, which help to release tension and blockages held in the body.

  • Pranayama: breathing practices, designed to calm the mind, aid focus, and create a sense of inner harmony.

  • Yoga philosophy: explored to provide further understanding of the benefits of Yoga in everyday life, and give depth to the other practices.

  • Yoga Nidra: each session will close with a guided relaxation, to allow the benefits of the practice to settle.

Woven together with lightness and humour you are invited to playfully explore Yoga together!

Over the course you may also begin to notice the additional benefits of:

  • Increased flexibility of the body.

  • Improved muscle tone and posture.

  • Relief of aches and pains.

  • Feeling more relaxed and able to cope better with everyday stresses.

The course is delivered in small groups, (a maximum of 8 participants), to ensure that each student feels safe, supported, and comfortable to receive sufficient guidance. The studio is fully equipped with mats, blocks, bolsters, and blankets - just bring yourself with comfortable clothing, and a drink of water!

How much will it cost?

£55.00 per person (includes handouts).

Booking essential - payment in advance to reserve place.
